Abbie & Matt- Makray Memorial Golf Club, Barrington, IL

I’ve been excited for this wedding since the moment I met Abbie and Matt over a year ago for their engagement session. That day we met they were so warm and friendly and so sweet with each other. I remember Matt helping Abbie down some VERY steep steps on the lakefront in Milwaukee. It seemed like that day on the lake was just yesterday when we met again for their wedding on Saturday in Barrington. Abbie was bright eyed and stunning when she greeted us at the door. Her hair was in the most unbelievable up-do I think I’ve ever seen. I was even more amazed to learn it was all her real hair, no extensions. Talk about hair goals! Matt seemed anxious to get the day started and I couldn’t wait for him to see his bride. Their first look was so touching and full of love. It’s no secret how much these two love each other and that they are best friends. They are easy going and positive. The rain came down all day-misting and drizzling and then a down pour later during their ceremony which had to be moved inside. The weather probably would have damped any other couple’s special day but not these two. They kept saying how awesome the day was, how fun it was and how thankful they were for this moment to finally arrive. The speeches their families gave highlighted what was so clear- that they were destined to be together from the moment they met. Even with their differences in baseball allegiance, one Cubs fan and one loyal Sox fan, they are an unstoppable single unit as husband and wife. I am so happy for them and am still in awe of the beautiful day, amazing venue and decorations but above all their kindness and love. Thank you so much for having us. Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Jones!
