When I showed up to Bridle Barn & Gardens on Saturday I was so stunned at how much work they’ve put into the venue since last season. It’s gorgeous! Andi was in the house getting ready with her girls. They rotated hair and makeup and prepping their bouquets. It was pretty laid back until right before ceremony time. You could almost feel the shift from relaxation to anticipation as they watched from the windows, guests arriving and making their way up the hill to the ceremony spot. There was a little mix up with buses and the ceremony was delayed to make sure everyone who traveled (Andi’s from Kansas) to the wedding was able to see them get married. Everyone kept hydrated and found shade as the sun was hot and bright for their late afternoon I dos. Andi’s uncle was the officiant and pronounced them husband and wife and again there was a shift from anticipation to utter elation. You can see it so clearly on Andi and Matt’s faces as they danced their way back down the aisle, hand in hand. Their pup, Luna, was in attendance and she clearly stole the hearts of everyone there (I really couldn’t stop taking photos of her all day long and probably should have named this album Andi + Matt + Luna). I always love when people are from two different places and their wedding day is this unique opportunity for family and friends to meet and mesh. I kept hearing from the Kansas side how beautiful Wisconsin is, how good cheese curds are and that Spotted Cow is out of this world- all in a really charming, light southern accent which is the absolute best. These two really knew how to throw a perfect summer wedding, in my opinion. Food trucks on the lawn, yard games, a bon fire, and big Adirondack chairs scattered about. It’s the kind of wedding I would want to have and the kind I’d want to be invited to. Everyone was having such a good time and it was such a joy to see people outside hanging out in the best weather June in Wisconsin could offer. I’m so glad that they had such a perfect day that came together in all ways for them. I know how hard they’ve been working on planning and hoping that it would be everything that wanted it to be and I think it’s safe to say it was better than any expectation. Thank you for letting us be there and letting us enjoy the celebration along with your guests. It was so fun and I’m so happy for you both!! Loved every part of this amazing day 😊
