Jenny & Cory- The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond, Poynette, WI

I think when you plan a winter wedding the idea of fresh snow and sparkly flakes coming down is the ultimate dream. I could not believe the wonderland Jenny and Cory had on Saturday. Jenny had her girls ready with matching boots and gloves and scarves. It was super cute. They were great about freezing their little tushies off while we did outdoor photos. The ceremony in the afternoon was the epitome of short and sweet. They told me it was going to be as such but boy, did they mean it. I’m glad I was just firing off shots left and right because minutes after the walk down the aisle they had kissed as husband and wife and were on their way back down hand in hand. I liked how speedy it was though. It’s clear this was a long time coming (they’re high school sweethearts!). I could sense the calm that came over them after they exchanged rings and we went outside for photos. In that magical way, the snow was falling sweetly. It was some of the most gentle and beautiful snow I can remember. It was surely a gift for these two. I love the way it stuck in Jenny’s hair. If every winter wedding could be this picture perfect I’ve give up all those super hot summer weddings in exchange for freezing fingers and red noses. Glorious. The rest of the night flew by- a quick bar stop before great speeches, a packed dance floor and some night time pics to close it out. It was a slippery drive home but I had Christmas tunes and a warm heart. I hope everyone enjoyed the rest of the party and made it home safe and sound! Best wishes to you, Jenny and Cory!!
