Kristyn + Levi | Sugarland Barn Wedding | Arena, WI

Sometimes I think I overuse the word perfect. I mean, nothing ever is actually PERFECT, right? Kristyn and Levi’s wedding on Saturday at Sugarland made me really think about that word and when it’s appropriate. They had a nearly perfect day. Seriously. Everything fell into place just as it should and at the exact time that it should. They were married at a church in Dodgeville. The priest said something that struck a chord with a lot of their guests- Kristyn and Levi make everyone feel calm, relaxed and like things are meant to be just as they are. It couldn’t be more true. These two have a love that is undeniably right. Them together is so natural. Their love is like breathing. And when you’re around them everything slows down. Their wedding reflected that. It was casual and slow paced. They did it their way- boots and jeans and sharing drinks at a bar with family and friends before the reception. A wedding can be whatever you want it to be and I love when people really make it their own. When we got back to Sugarland we had time for some quick pictures before we ran to the barn. We could see the rain coming and the clouds were epic. It poured at just the right time- through dinner and speeches (which were heartfelt and great). Their moms spoke about their dads, who both left earth much too soon, and how they were sure they were sharing a cloud (and a beer 😉) looking down on their kids who they’re so proud of. I don’t think it was any coincidence that the most beautiful rainbow appeared as the sun broke. We know exactly who gave them that gift. As the sun went down the dancing began. The newlyweds shared their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. and then danced with partners in tribute to their dads. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house but also tons of smiles. It was a celebration of love in so many ways. Their guests really boogied on the dance floor and kept the party going late into the night. Thanks for having us and for throwing a great party. I think I’ll have to take back that “nearly” from the fourth sentence above. Your wedding day was perfect. Can’t wait to share all the photos with you when you get back from the awesome honeymoon you have planned. Enjoy the trip! Much love to you and your families and hope to see you guys again soon!!
