We brought umbrellas, Matt and Maria moved the ceremony indoors, but the skies had other plans. Not a drop. The ceremony was in the balcony of the lodge with bright windows casting light on Matt, Maria and their bridal party made up of their siblings. Immediate family only, it was the most intimate and personal union. I found myself teary eyed during their vows. It is smiles like the ones on every person’s face at this wedding that make me love what I do. Such genuine happiness is incredibly wonderful to witness. We went outside to take some photos on the grounds at Cedar Valley. May has been the month of dramatic clouds and on the second to last day of May they did not disappoint. The Spring Green countryside provided a gorgeous backdrop, but more striking is Matt and Maria’s bond and their family surrounding them. It was such an honor to shoot their wedding. The day was so at ease and I found myself saying “gosh, what a great family” over and over again on the drive home. Wishing Matt and Maria nothing but happiness—Congrats
