Sarah + Eric | Vennebu Hill Wedding | Baraboo, WI

I was so concerned about the weather. The entire day was this black cloud with lightning and rain. I knew it wouldn’t bother Sarah and Eric in the least because when we met for their engagement photos they were so chill and calm about everything. From that session I knew Eric isn’t the biggest fan of being the center of attention which is why it’s so great that Sarah has a contrasting personality. She’s chatty and friendly and vibrant and he’s steady and calm but also makes this little remarks under his breath where you know he’s totally hilarious and full of personality in a quiet way. I love when a couple has a counterpoint relationship like that. They may seem so different on the outset but once you see them together those preconceived ideas chip away and you get to really witness their true selves with each other. That’s my favorite. Their day had an emphasis on family which culminated in the best speeches, which included a pretty epic rap to Ice Ice Baby with tailored lyrics. Eric’s son Ethan also gave a short little speech that was so heartfelt and it was the most sweet thing in the world- he only said about 25 words but even those quick sentiments had everyone reaching for a tissue. It was a great day and the weather held out for us, only pouring like crazy when we were safely inside. Thanks so much for having us, being good sports with the stormy skies and for the good meal and delish cupcakes. I was a total space cadet on my way out, left some equipment behind and had to drive back after I was already halfway home to pick things up. Gave me a good excuse to grab another cupcake (like, OMG, I didn’t know I loved salted caramel cupcakes as much as I do apparently) and see that the party was still rockin’. Loved your wedding day and spending time with your family and friends! Cheers, Mr. and Mrs. P!!
