Brooke + Casey | Catholic Church Wedding and Madison Concourse Reception | Sun Prairie and Madison, WI

Taking engagement photos of Brooke and Casey last fall was one of my favorite sessions in the past year. They’re so natural together which makes them a dream to photograph but even better, they’re so kind and open and easy to get along with. Both of them make you feel like you’re instant friends and I knew after the first few minutes meeting them and working with them that I was going to LOVE their wedding day. They deserved the best fall weather could have to offer and boy, did they get it. Saturday was stunning all around. Brooke was nervous before the ceremony, fidgeting around and taking deep breaths. When I went to check in with Casey before the ceremony he said he didn’t have many nerves, he thought Brooke had enough for the both of them. But when he was waiting to walk down that aisle I could see his hand gently pounding against his thigh in anticipation of seeing Brooke. The church was beautiful and the pianist sang Ava Maria so amazingly I got choked up. Brooke is the third generation to say I do in this church which is so cool. After the ceremony we had what felt like a lifetime to take family photos and some other portraits while we waiting on the bus. Having excess time is a luxury that’s rarely afforded so I was so grateful to not be rushing around!! We stopped at a park for photos and there were zero bugs, another freaking miracle that further proved that these two were destined for the most perfect day. The light was to die for, it was the perfect temperature and I was doing my happy dance because it all was going so well. The reception followed suit with the rest of the perfect day- great dinner, speeches, and a dance floor that was packed and full of happiness. When I packed up for the night to leave it was one of those goodbyes where you don’t want to say it because that means this wedding journey is all over. Lucky for me that I get to edit away on these pics for the next couple weeks and get to relive what a wonderful day it was over and over again. So much love to you, Mr. and Mrs.!
